Let's review!

In this unit you found out what keeps you moving, planned your own DPA, checked your fitness and made a FITT plan. You learned how to help prevent concussions and how to read the UV index and the AQHI. You built balance sequences, jumped and landed with control, passed and moved, dribbled in traffic, learned the rules and common features of many activities, and used tactics with healthy competition.

This review has a few questions from every lesson. Try each one, then press Show answer to check. If a part feels tricky, go back to that lesson.

For parents and teachers

How to use the results: If your child misses a question, go back to the matching lesson:

  • Kinds of activities, the 24-hour guidelines, or reframing thoughts: Active for Life: What Keeps Me Moving and Having Fun.
  • Planning DPA, warm-ups and cool-downs, or the effort scale and heart rate: My DPA Workout: Warm-Up, Cool-Down and How Hard I'm Working.
  • Fitness tests, reading a progress chart, or FITT plans: Check My Fitness and Make a Fitness Plan.
  • Concussion prevention, helmets, or when to tell: Playing Safe: Preventing Concussions and Injuries.
  • UV index, AQHI, heat, ticks, cold or plan B: Outdoor Smarts: Sun, Heat, Air Quality, Bugs and Cold.
  • Transitions, sequences or partner balances: Balance Sequences: Smooth Transitions with Different Body Parts.
  • Kinds of jumps, the three phases, or landing safely: Jump, Fly, Land: Jumping and Moving with Control.
  • Receiving on the move, choosing a pass, or the give-and-go: Pass and Move: Sending and Receiving While Moving.
  • Control speed, dribbling moves, or protecting the ball: Keep It Close: Dribbling and Stickhandling in Traffic.
  • Why rules exist, common features, lacrosse, or adapting games: Know the Game: Rules, Skills and Common Features.
  • Pacing, offence and defence ideas, or healthy competition: Smart Tactics and Healthy Competition.

Tips: Physical skills improve with regular play more than with quizzes. A short family activity a few times a week (a DPA your child leads, a cone course, a pacing loop, a backyard game) is the best review. Praise effort, safe choices, inclusion and fair play as much as results.
